Sugar-free Tequila Hot Sauce
🔥 About half of our condiments are just varieties of hot sauce. From Mexico, various U.S. states, the Caribbean (hello scotch bonnet sauce), we practically collect them. 🔥
Of course, you can skip many of the preservatives and added sugars by making your own. This recipe is easy, sugar-free and delicious! Did I mention that it also has tequila?!

Directions
Wash and coarsely chop the chili peppers.
NOTE: You can substitute for different varieties and heat intensity, but you will want 3 cups of chopped chili peppers to work with, and at least 2-3 different types to bring depth of flavour.
Transfer the chopped chilis to a medium saucepan.
Add the water, apple cider vinegar, Swerve brown and salt, then bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
Once simmering, reduce heat to medium-low, cover and let simmer for 40-45 min.
Remove from heat and stir in the tequila.
Pulse the mixture to a puree in a blender or using an immersion blender, until the hot sauce is thick and silky.
Transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge.
Use the tequila hot sauce on anything and everything that you want to add a good punch to.
