Roasted Italian Sausage and Cabbage

Ingredients

6 cups green cabbage, shredded
1/4 cup beef broth
8 Italian sausages, mild or spicy
2 bell peppers, diced
1/2 small onion, diced
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp dry basil
1 tsp red chili flakes
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425F.

In a large bowl, toss together the shredded cabbage, bell pepper, onion, olive oil, basil, chili flakes, garlic powder, and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Transfer the cabbage mixture to a baking sheet or dish, and spread out evenly.

Lay the Italian sausages over the cabbage, then drizzle with the beef broth.

Bake for 35-40 min, until sausages are golden, turning them over about halfway.

Serve the sausages with a generous side of the roasted cabbage.
